Style File: Mary-Anne Pham

March 16th, 2011 by and | 1 Comment

Fashion Designer Mary-Anne Pham has the kind of wardrobe that just makes you green with envy. Chanel clogs? Check. Balenciaga city bag? Check. A host of separates from every cool girl brand from Opening Ceremony to her own label, Piper Lane? Check, check, check. Her style reflects that modern jet-set melange: a refreshing collaboration between Sydney’s laid back sartorial sentiment and pieces from international heavyweights picked up on her travels to style destinations like Paris, New York and Milan.

New Romanticism

February 14th, 2011 by , and | 1 Comment

“Is this the generation of love? Hot blood, hot thoughts and hot deeds? Why, they are vipers.” – Troilus & Cressida, William Shakespeare.

We have lost our way in love. From Bieber Fever to Warney the nature of romance seems very misguided. This Valentine’s Day, look to where it all began. Look to Romanticism.

Haute Sport

February 2nd, 2011 by , and | No Comments

Living in a city such as Sydney necessitates that our wardrobe becomes, at least in part, a function of the weather; that our lifestyle shapes our street style. modern goth

Calling all fashion fiends and closet goths. If you’re like me and have the tendency to stick with dark tones or more specifically black attire but have been getting frustrated at sticking with perhaps more basic combinations then you would like, look no further. Wearing all black doesn’t have to be boring! Beauty on a Budget

January 25th, 2011 by , , and | 5 Comments

Not everyone has bucket loads of cash to spend on looking their best. Some things you shouldn’t skimp on, like foundation but most products you can buy on a budget. Here are some of my favourite cheap buys, which you can pick up from most supermarkets and Priceline.

White Heat

January 19th, 2011 by , and | 2 Comments

Summer showed up fashionably late to the party this year, but now that it’s here it’s dying to be heard. When the mercury gets this high it can be hard to find sartorial inspiration. My advice? Stick to the Summer classic - white, and get creative. Layer light textured fabrics, or do the unexpected by wearing knits and long pants; Summer doesn’t have to just be about little dresses and ripped shorts.
